The working group meeting in support of local communities<\/p>\n

A meeting of the working group in support of local communities was held in Belgrade on December 20th<\/sup>, organized by UNDP. During the meeting, IDC had the opportunity to present its work in the field of strengthening social cohesion in the local communities affected by the migrant crisis, with special reference to the IDC project “You will never walk alone”. In addition to IDC, 5 other domestic organizations have had the opportunity to present their work and projects, which, thanks to the support of UNDP, are implementing similar projects aimed at strengthening social cohesion within the project “Strengthening the capacities of local communities in Serbia through overcoming the consequences of the migrant crisis ” funded by the Japanese Government.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by representatives of the state administration Ivan Bo\u0161njak, State Secretary of the State Administration and Local Self-Government Ministry, Nenad Ivani\u0161evi\u0107 State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, and Ivan Gerginov, Deputy Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, representatives of local self-governments affected by the migrant crisis, as well as representatives of UN agencies and humanitarian organizations that significantly contributed to strengthening the capacities of local communities in overcoming the consequences of the migrant crisis during the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
