Within the project “Inclusion of Roma and other marginalized groups in Serbia” which is a part of the Business Start-Up Programme for Roma and other marginalized groups<\/strong>, we present the results up to now.<\/p>\n

127 people attended business training, 73 grants were awarded to start their own business, while a total of 145 beneficiaries were involved in project activities. IDC with a local partner network will continue to provide beneficiaries with additional legal and economic support related to starting a business. The support is based on synergy with existing NES programs and funds thus expanding opportunities for business growth.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

50.7% of grant recipients are women, while the Roma population has 68.5% of grant recipients for self-employment,\u00a0 35.6% are returnees. All phases of the project were realized in cooperation with the local network of partners. Along with the realization of the project, IDC is realizing research on the needs of vulnerable Roma communities as a basis for future projects – IDC DATABASE.<\/p>\n

We hope that the lessons learned, innovative developments, synergistic partnership approach, and research results achieved in this project will be the basis for the realization of new, and more successful projects.<\/p>\n
