In the Grand Hall of the Zvezdara City Municipality, an info session for internally displaced persons (IDPs) who are potential returnees to Kosovo and Metohija was held today, May 23, 2025, where the project “A Step Forward to Return” was presented.

The info session, which attracted great interest from the local IDP community, was led by representatives of the Association  of citizens’ “Initiative for Development and Cooperation” with the support of Miloš Kostic – a member of the City Council of the Zvezdara City Municipality.

The project “A Step Forward to Return,” which aims to provide comprehensive support for sustainable return to Kosovo and Metohija, is jointly implemented by IDC – Initiative for Development and Cooperation, the Zvezdara City Municipality, and the Palilula Municipality of Nis. Internally displaced persons were also informed about the procedure for applying to the Public Call for the selection of beneficiaries of funds allocated for the training program for returnees to Kosovo and Metohija within the project.

Special emphasis was placed on promoting the free phone line 0800/100-550, intended to inform potential returnees to Kosovo and Metohija.

The info session was attended by more than 20 internally displaced persons, who, through a conversation with Miodrag Nedeljkovic, Executive Director of the Initiative for Development and Cooperation, learned about examples of good practices from previous return projects and thereby received additional information on the possibilities for their return to Kosovo and Metohija to be supported within the project.
