Basic Business Training for internally displaced persons held in Cultural Centre Palilula Nis

On September 8 and 9, 2025, the Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC), in partnership with the Municipality of Palilula Nis, conducted a two-day basic business training at the Cultural Center Palilula as part of the project “A Step Forward to Return.”
This activity is part of the project’s economic component, aimed at supporting the self-employment of internally displaced persons and strengthening their capacities to start their own businesses.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about key aspects of starting and running a business, including market analysis, sales, communication, marketing, and legal and administrative procedures for business registration.

Small group work facilitated an individualized approach tailored to each participant’s needs and interests. Participants developed their own business concepts with mentorship and practical guidance from trainers, who evaluated the feasibility and market potential of the proposed plans.

The best-evaluated business plans will continue through an advanced two-day training program and further development, with the possibility of receiving grant support to start their own business.
