Project Proposal Writing Training in Dimitrovgrad

A three-day training on project proposal writing for persons with disabilities was conducted from 18 to 20 November 2025 at the “Caribrod” Education Center in Dimitrovgrad, as part of the regional EMPOWERED Western Balkans project. The Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC), acting as the partner organisation for the Republic of Serbia, implemented the activity, while the Citizens’ Association Youth with Disabilities Forum (FMI) was responsible for the professional delivery of the training.

The training enabled participants to enhance their knowledge and skills in developing project ideas and drafting project documentation. Key topics included the project cycle, definition of objectives and results, activity planning, basic budgeting principles, and the structure and internal logic of quality project proposals. The combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises provided participants with hands-on skills applicable to the preparation of future projects focused on improving the position of persons with disabilities.

This training is part of the educational component of the EMPOWERED Western Balkans project, which aims to strengthen the capacities of local actors in planning and implementing initiatives that promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and foster regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.
