Another round of workshops dedicated to the promotion of the institute of peaceful settlement of labour disputes was implemented with success

Within the project “Joint endeavours of the social partners to increase the visibility of the institute of peaceful settlement of labour disputes”, another cycle of workshops entitled “Peaceful settlement of labour disputes in practice” was successfully realized.

A total of 4 workshops were held in Zrenjanin, Pancevo, Novi Pazar and Vranje. A total of 91 participants went through these 4 workshops, and the goal of the workshops was to present the institute of peaceful settlement of labour disputes, to point out the importance of the application of this institute and its advantages in relation to resolving labour disputes before courts of general jurisdiction.

In addition to the workshops within the project, the study “Challenges of peaceful resolution of labour disputes in Serbia” was published and an online course on peaceful resolution of labour disputes was developed and is available on our YouTube channel.

IDC, together with the social partners, has been working for more than six years to increase the visibility of the institute and overcome the existing limitations caused by lack of information and mistrust by employees and employers, poor visibility of the Republic Agency for Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes, etc. that judicial protection remains the primary form of protection of employees’ rights.
