Within the project “Social Inclusion and Economic Empowerment of the Roma Population in 11 Municipalities in Serbia” implemented in cooperation with ASB South-East Europe and the Roma Forum of Serbia, we have so far developed cooperation with 8 beneficiary municipalities within which IDC is responsible for organizing and conducting social inclusion workshops.
During the first two months of the project, 172 workshops were held, and 1,904 children and youth participated in them, of which 1,196 children are members of the Roma population, 256 children belong to the returnee population, and 708 children are from the local population. Cooperation has been established with 12 schools and a functional team of 89 workshops has been formed.
Workshops for children and youth are held in cooperation with schools, and the curriculum is planned with the aim of mastering school materials, but also the development of creative skills.
