Digital speech therapy set for the school for primary and secondary education October 11 from Leskovac

As part of the EMPOWERED project, the school for primary and secondary education “11. Oktobar” in Leskovac received modern equipment — a digital speech therapy set with a tablet and two microphones. This valuable donation represents a significant step towards improving the quality of work with children who need additional support in speech and language development.

The digital speech therapy set is a modern assistive device that uses sound processing algorithms in real time, which enables speech therapists to carry out highly effective treatments for the correction of speech, hearing and language disorders. Thanks to this device, the school’s expert team will be able to adapt the treatments to the individual needs of each child, making them more interesting and stimulating for the students.

The delivery of the equipment is part of a broader process of improving the living conditions of people with disabilities in Leskovac. During the implementation of the project, a local working group was established. With the support of expert consultants, the group developed local inclusion plans and projects aimed at people with disabilities. Currently, two local inclusion plans are being implemented.

From December 2025 to May 2026, people with disabilities are provided with career counseling. During 2026, psychosocial workshops were also organized in order to support their empowerment and encourage their more active participation in social life.
