Training and Career Counselling in Novi Pazar: Advancing Social Inclusion
Between 28 and 30 October 2025, a three-day training program for persons with disabilities was held at the “Kompas” Day Care Centre for Children and Youth in Novi Pazar as part of the Empowered project. This initiative is a component of the project’s educational strategy, designed to enhance the capacities of persons with disabilities, improve their labour market integration, and foster comprehensive social inclusion. The training was delivered by IDC in cooperation with the Youth with Disabilities Forum (FMI).
The program combined a structured module on project proposal development with individualized career counselling sessions. This methodology enabled participants to enhance their professional skills, acquire new knowledge, and advance their personal development. Training topics included project cycle management, planning and budgeting of project activities, and monitoring and reporting on project outcomes, as well as other essential aspects of project preparation and implementation. Consequently, participants acquired practical competencies applicable to future project work and broader professional settings.
Within the same initiative, individualized career counselling sessions contributed to the personal and professional development of persons with disabilities. Each session addressed participants’ specific needs, emphasizing the identification and development of their potential, the definition of career objectives, and strategies for increased engagement in the labour market. This process provided participants with targeted guidance for their future professional trajectories and practical resources to facilitate empowerment and social inclusion.
