In the period from the 27th of October until the 1st of November, we hosted the first certification workshop under the project EMPACT (Empowerment to act) funded by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.

After assessing the needs of all partners within the workshop held in Niksic in June the mentors developed individual mentoring plans for each of the Balkans and African partner organizations. Within the workshop held in Belgrade, we started the mentoring process unlocking the fields of Health, Safety and Security, Data protection and Living and Working conditions. Developing internal policy documents in these fields was closely linked with associated Core Humanitarian Standards which will contribute to enhancing our organization’s accountability and quality of work.

EMPACT is a capacity-building project focused on the EUAV certification process. The project is implemented by the consortium of partners from Samaritan International networkDanish People Aid as coordinator of the Action, ANPAS, Weißes Kreuz, involved as mentors, 3 partner organizations from Balkans CDI, Alfa Centar, and IDC and two from Africa Jukumu Letu and CIDI receiving mentoring support.
