Within the project financed by German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have developed the volunteer service consisting of the teams of doctors and nurses who are trained and ready for working on the field. We have organized the network which now counts up to 20 medical volunteers constantly working on the field. Medical team founded by IDC and financed by German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been actively working since September 2015.
Last year, our organization received the official support letter from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia for providing primary healthcare in mobile units, as well as providing the primary healthcare in the Asylum Centers, registration camps and transit centers.
With the support letter of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, this team provides the necessary medical aid for the refugees passing through Sid 7 days per week, working in the night shifts, facilitating more than 100 people every day.
Our mobile teams for providing primary healthcare, who are present every night from midnight to 8 a.m. on the railway station in Sid, facilitated 1549 refugees in total, of which there were 454 minors, mainly suffering from respiratory infections, frostbites, foot pains and backaches of a long walking.
