Position of Vulnerable Foreigners in Accessing Labour Rights in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

The overall objective is to contribute to the strengthening and promoting fundamental rights of foreigners within the WB region, according to the EU standards, with special focus on economic and social rights of vulnerable foreigners.
Specific Objectives:
- Strengthened capacities of the CSOs and human rights institutions in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to contribute to the policymaking and advocacy processes
- Promotion and protection of fundamental rights of vulnerable foreigners (refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of human trafficking etc)
Expected results:
- Research conducted on access to labour rights for vulnerable foreigners in Serbia and BiH;
- Two roundtables organized (in Belgrade and Bihac) with 15 relevant participants each;
- Final conference held in Bihac with 20 participants;
- Research study and two policy briefs developed and printed in 210 copies (in Serbian, Bosnian, and English);
- At least 5,000 citizens reached through an online promotional campaign and dissemination of materials;
- Improved awareness among public institutions and civil society regarding the labour rights of foreigners and necessary reforms.
The Lead Applicant on the project is Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC) in partnership with Association “Women from Una”.
The project is funded by the European Union as a part of the project The Inclusion of Foreigners in the Western Balkans – Access to Social and Economic Rights (FOSTER)
