Working Breakfast Held Within the Project Position of Vulnerable Foreigners in Accessing Labour Rights in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, a working breakfast was held at the premises of the Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC) in Belgrade, dedicated to presenting the preliminary findings of the research on access to labour rights for vulnerable categories of foreigners in the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants from relevant institutions, international organisations, and civil society had the opportunity to review the key challenges and recommendations related to the employment rights of refugees, asylum seekers, persons under subsidiary protection, and victims of human trafficking.
The research preliminary findings were presented by Milena Sosic, Legal Advisor at IDC, and Prof. Dr. Ajna Jodanović from the University of Bihac. The event included an open discussion and exchange of views on future steps to strengthen institutional support and improve the legal framework.
The event was organised within the project “Position of Vulnerable Foreigners in Accessing Labour Rights in Serbia and BiH,” implemented as part of the broader regional programme FOSTER – Access to Social and Economic Rights for Foreigners in the Western Balkans, with the financial support of the European Union.
