Strengthening mechanisms to respond to the increased influx of refugees from Ukraine – project activities

During June, the IDC continued distributing direct humanitarian aid to refugees from Ukraine, who are accommodated in reception centres or private accommodations. Aid packages are made following the needs of the refugees and consist of food packages for a family of four, shoes, raincoats, medicines and more.

Distribution of aid takes place with the support of Farma Mundi from Spain and in cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia. In addition to direct assistance, the IDC team is engaged in providing information aimed at facilitating refugees’ access to rights and services during their stay in Serbia.

In June, with the financial support of the Badajoz Provincial Council, a donation was provided in the form of a cargo motor vehicle (van) and a laptop computer for the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia.

In the humanitarian aid distribution activities, the IDC team had the support of volunteers from its volunteer team and local communities.
