The final conference and presentation of the results of the project “Reintegration – support for sustainable (re) integration of returnees in Serbia”
The final conference and presentation of the results of the project “Reintegration – support for sustainable (re) integration of returnees in Serbia” took place in Novi Pazar on December 15th.
The project team, ASB and IDC with partners and representatives of local authorities, presented the results of a two-year project implemented in the city of Novi Pazar and the municipalities of Sjenica and Tutin.
During the conference, attendees had the opportunity to see an exhibition of crafts and artwork and hear the impressions of children who attended the workshops, as well as beneficiaries who were supported by this project through donation of self-employment grants.
The project exceeded expectations from the beginning – more than 900 workshops were held for over 1,900 children in Novi Pazar, Tutin and Sjenica, 98 grants for self-employment were awarded in these three cities and 270 business start-up trainings and 50 vocational-educational trainings were held.
The project was implemented by ASB Serbia and IDC in partnership with the Regional Development Agency of Sandzak – SEDA and the Muslim Humanitarian Society Merhamet – Sandzak, with the support of the City of Novi Pazar, municipalities Tutin and Sjenica, and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the Engagement Global program.

The excellent cooperation of all partners in this project has contributed to the improvement of living conditions for beneficiaries from the returnee population, but also the domicile population.
