Training for youth workers and educators within the WAVE II project

As part of the WAVE II Erasmus+ project, IDC organized, on July 25, 2026, a local training for youth workers and educators in Belgrade, combining an introduction to creative methods with hands-on activities that allowed participants to experience and apply them directly.
Participants explored two methods — Self-Portrait and Theater Direct — designed to foster creativity, self-expression, participation and collaboration. Through drawing, storytelling and role-play, they explored European values, inclusion, communication and democratic participation in a practical and engaging way.

The training demonstrated how creative methods can create safe spaces where every voice matters, ideas are shared, and participation becomes something we experience — not just talk about. Participants found the methods highly adaptable and easy to replicate, with potential to be used with different target groups and across a wide range of topics.
