This study seeks to determine the extent to which out-of-court methods are used to resolve labour disputes and to identify the contribution of recent changes (2018) to the normative framework in the process of improving the mechanism of peaceful resolution of labour disputes. In addition, the study analyzes the attitudes of employees and employers on out-of-court methods of resolving labour disputes in order to answer the question of why the institute of peaceful resolution of labour disputes remains insufficiently affirmed in our society.
The results presented in this publication are part of the research conducted within the project Joint Endeavours of the Social Partners to increase the visibility of the Institute for Peaceful Dispute Resolution, funded by the International Center “Olof Palme”, conducted by IDC in partnership with Trade union “Independence”, The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia and the Union of Employers of Serbia, with the support of the Republic Agency for the Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes.
